Philadelphia Flower Show : March 12, 2011 - Philadelphia Flower Show I've been wanting to go to this flower show for years and 2011 was the year! The theme this year was Spring in Paris. This was a huge event with massive crowds. I was not prepared for the smash of people. It was an elbowing competition just to see the exhibits. Same for shopping. For me, the crush of humanity detracted from the enjoyment of the show, but there certainly was many interesting things to see. The lighting was terrible for taking photos, and so eventually I quit taking them. But, I've posted the few decent ones here. I hope you enjoy them. I'm glad I was able to experience the Philly Flower Show, but I doubt I will be going back.

Guilford-Sherwood : Stan and I visited the Guilford neighborhood of Baltimore City where the reknowned Sherwood Gardens is located. Sherwood Gardens is all about tulips. The tulips were many and varied. Some had already bloomed and were spent, while others were still tight buds. The weather wasn't the best, but we made the most of it. It was definitely worth the visit.

Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden : April 19, 2009: We went on a field trip down to Richmond, VA to visit the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden. It was fabulous beyond words. I took photos until I was exhausted. It is a beautiful place and I can't wait to go back. I hope you enjoy the photos!
