March 29, 2011 - This was our second annual trip into D.C. to see the cherry blossoms. This year, I decided NOT to be there for sunrise. It was a good choice because the sunrise was not special. Getting there later allowed time for the sky to brighten and turn blue. It was a cold day, but not as bitter as last year. On this trip we skipped touring inside the Jefferson Memorial, and Washington Monument, and instead went to the Capitol the Grant Memorial, and Iwo Jima Memorial. It was a long day, but worth it.
